To dig out and reconstruct an area of 400sqm with a new build Densiphalt design for a bus holding area. There would be 4 bus bay areas where the buses stand every quarter hour, to be applied in red Densiphalt to hi-light these parking bays. The works were required to be completed in 4-5 days, with minimal disruption to a busy public area.
Crowley’s are the Term Contractors for new and refurbishment projects for numerous London Borough Councils. Crowley’s approached us for technical information on the Densiphalt system and were more than satisfied that it would meet with all their surface requirements along with delivering significant advantages over the more traditional flooring applications. Newham Borough Council was very receptive towards the Densiphalt jointless surfacing system; they felt that there was no competition on price compared to the traditional specification of jointed concrete, which would take circa 6-7 weeks. Therefore the Densiphalt was an advantage to them in respect of programme as well as the performance characteristics Densiphalt offers. A presentation was done by CIP for Crowleys and Newham to formally introduce the Densiphalt system and to discuss its suitability and advantages in greater detail. Further to this presentation Newham gave the go ahead to use the Densiphalt.
