In 1997, Civil & Industrial Products Ltd (CIP) began its UK journey with Grouted Macadam and other Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) materials.

CIP continued successfully in this specialist area for more than two decades, supplying and installing approximately 500,000m² across the UK.

In 2020, CIP withdrew from the active selling and contracting of these products due to changing priorities within the leadership team and the impact of the Covid period.

In 2025, CIP acquired Bowie Construction, a successful SME civil engineering contractor. Following the acquisition, the business became Globe Civil Engineering Ltd (GCE) and joined the wider Globe Group, delivering a broader range of construction and civil engineering services.

This development has brought together the skills, expertise and opportunities for Globe Civil Engineering to once again offer these specialist UHPC products and services to the UK market.

The materials continue to be produced by Contec ApS of Aarhus, Denmark, who also provide technical and installation support, building on their extensive worldwide experience and success with these products and materials.

All future UK projects, enquiries and supplies will now be managed through Globe Civil Engineering Ltd.

As part of this transition, the Civil & Industrial Products Ltd website will no longer be live after 31 October 2026.
